Year 1. About Infrastructure
February 17, 2023
At 23blocks, we are about to celebrate our first operational year in just a few days. It is a good time to share some reflections on what we learn and how our operational model has been useful for our clients and their users.
Let’s start with Infrastructure, during the last 12 months, our infrastructure has been designed, tested, deployed, and redesigned multiple times, we are continually working on better, optimized, and secured solutions for our customers. From their perspective? API Services that run without a glitch, 7 days a week 24 hours every single day.
Now, if you are starting a startup, running an agency, or developing a project, you should know the feeling, instead of expending time and resources on your idea, you run a detour (most of the time, a big detour) to learn about and use cloud computing (aka the cloud). Should everything goes well, you ended with some decent infrastructure or maybe a nice contractor or company that runs your cloud, if you are not that lucky, you waste your time and resources on surprisingly expensive invoices or even worse be hacked.
There are tons of decisions needed when building cloud infrastructure, should I build at home or hired a contractor, or maybe a company, is our CTO also a cloud expert?, do we have a Web Application Firewall (WAF), should we use Instances, Lamda Serverless, Kubernetes Clusters? How many load balancers? how many farms? how many servers are on each farm? You got the idea.
This is why on top of our blocks (or behind them) we have all the infrastructure your startup, agency, or project needs. Designed using best practices from the industry, following patterns from health care, financial services, oil and gas, and some of the biggest names in the industry like Uber, Netflix, and Airbnb. When you are using 23blocks, you know, from the go, that you have all the right infrastructure to run your project.
We also take care of billing and payments, not just from one cloud provider but from many vendors that are needed to run a secure, high-performance, high-availability infrastructure.
Stop thinking about opening accounts on multiple platforms and systems, connecting and, monitoring all together to provide a business solution for your company or your project, 23blocks is a one-stop, ready-to-go Components as a Service. Start innovating on your idea, on the user experience that you want to build, on the innovation you are dreaming about.
We will take care of the infrastructure for you, as we did with our customers the last year.
