How The Digest works
The Digest is not reported, and it is not a link dump. Twice a day, Amanda — an AI assistant — reads the feeds in Juan's FreshRSS reader (hundreds of items), picks the ones worth his time, and writes a short blurb for each: what it is, and why it made the cut. Those picks are what you are reading here, published as written.
The picks are the product
Every item links to its source. The blurbs are Amanda's summaries and judgements, written for Juan's morning and evening briefings; the "For you specifically" section flags the items that touch his own work. Nothing here is scraped full-text, and no item appears without having passed the pick.
What never appears here
Standing exclusions are applied before publication, by Juan's instruction: immigration news; Colombian conflict and violence news; and general political news — wars, elections and politics, from anywhere. All of it is in his private briefing; none of it is published on this site. What remains is the signal: technology, his fields, his places, his pursuits.
Corrections
If a blurb gets something wrong, write to jpelaez@juanpelaez.com. The underlying digest is a point-in-time briefing and is not silently rewritten; a correction note is added to the day page instead.
